Create some pretty paper Koi fish with this simple project!
In just 21 years of life, I have managed to live in two of the rainiest places in the world: Portland, Oregon and Southern Ireland. And yes, I love it. 55 degrees and drizzly is my “sunny and 75”. So, whether your kiddos love cloudy skies and the sound of rain like myself, or they’re stir crazy and stuck inside because of it, I have some crafts for them!
Is there a sweeter sound than rain falling? Not likely. With this fun craft you can hear that pitter-patter whenever your heart desires, plus it doubles as an instrument for whenever your kiddos want to put on a concert!
It’s one thing showing off your crafts in your home, but it’s a whole new ball park when you can wear them and show them off wherever you go.
Not Your Mother’s Macaroni Necklace
My favorite crafts always have two things in common: 1.) they’re easy to add your own flair to, and 2.) they’re made up of items that are already in the house. This cute craft has both of those attributes, plus it’s super cute! What more could a girl want?
We love making wreaths for all the seasons. You can get pretty creative when making wreaths with kids and use a variety of household and crafts materials to make some unique seasonal decor. Here are some of my favorites.
Dip Dyed Craft Sticks create a beautiful sunburst effect which is fun to make and guaranteed to brighten any door this season. This would also work well for making a sunburst mirror for the kids’ room.

Whether you’re experiencing the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having here in Portland or the strangely chilly weather in the NE these bright tie dye crafts are sure to be a crowd pleaser. Traditional tie dye can be kind of messy so I’d recommend a warm day in the backyard for those projects, but the Sharpie tie dye experiments and the tie dye clay can definitely be indoor activities as well. I hope you enjoy these Tie Dye favorites!
Clay is fun and easy to work with for kids and adults. The bright mix of colors is fun to create and use to decorate clay pots and coasters. These would also make great gifts for teachers and grandparents!

When we take our little ones on nature walks we always point out and name the flowers we see and you would be amazed at how quickly even toddlers remember the names of a variety of flowers. There’s nothing cuter than hearing a 1 year old correctly identify and say the word ‘Hydrangea!’ Here are some awesome flower crafts we can make at home using a variety of supplies we have on hand.
Peonies are my favorite flowers from our garden. The only thing I don’t like about Peonies is how quickly they bloom and drop their petals. Here’s a tutorial for how to make lasting tissue paper peonies in all of your favorite colors.
