Who doesn’t love receiving a fancy valentine? When I saw Bo Bunny’s Count the Ways collection, I knew I’d have some fun making some wonderfully over the top cards.
Lately, I’ve been trying a lot of techniques with my Spectrum Noir Aqua markers. These markers are a great way to get a watercolor look if you’re not that comfortable with traditional water coloring with a brush and paint. One of the really fun techniques I tried was stamping with the markers using a layered stamp set. I really like Avery Elle’s Layered Rose set and wanted to see what these markers could do.
Even though getting together with friends looks a little different right now, there are ways we can stay connected. Sending cards is an easy way to do this and even easier using a scrapbook kit. I’ve mentioned before in previous posts, I love using scrapbooking supplies to make easy cards. You make the most of your supplies and it’s so easy because everything is pre-cut and patterned. All you need are some card bases and a little foam tape.
With so many memories to document, and so little time, I’ve decided to try a different approach to my scrapbooking—more doing, less thinking. Meaning, I start with a basic design, then just add layers and elements without rearranging so much, just kind of “go with the flow” and let things kind of come together on their own.
It’s back to school time—let the moans and groans begin LOL! The kids may not always love going back to school, but little surprises like notes and treats can make those long school days seem a little brighter.
