A bulletin board is a useful tool for your crafty space. I decided to get creative and make my own out of upcycled wine corks. You can save your corks or hit up thrift stores for a big bag to make your own. This tutorial shows you how to create a custom cork bulletin board.
I find that I always work better when I’m surrounded by things that make me smile. My mousepad has been a little worse for wear lately, and it’s just plain black, so I decided it was time to add something else to make my workday brighter.
I’ve been lucky enough to have seen quite a few countries at such a young age. I’m currently on a mission to see 30 countries before I reach age 30. Because of all these adventures on top of being in college, my bank account is a little tight. So, when I was looking online for one of those fancy push pin maps that show off where you’ve been, I was super bummed to see how expensive they were. Then I realized that I could very easily just make my own!
My mom has a bunch of old wine corks in a vase that she’s trying to find uses for. I don’t blame her for keeping them. A lot of corks have memories attached to them and as a bonus, they look pretty cool. I decided to try to help my mom out by finding some fun wine cork crafts for her to try out.
A few weeks ago, my mom called me with a wedding present idea for a wine loving cousin that is getting married this fall…a Wine Cork Bath Mat. She asked for help making it, and as any good daughter would do, I took over and decided to make it for her. This bath mat is a little time consuming, I mean you do have to drink a lot of wine to get the corks, but so much fun.
PS. You can buy used wine corks online so you don’t really have to drink all that wine, or just use new cork stoppers.
PPS. If you know said cousin getting married, please don’t tell.
