Camera Lens Wrap

DIY Camera Lens Wrap

Protect those expensive camera lenses with these cute wraps. They use old neck ties filled with polyfil quilt batting to make the ties soft. I used old silk ties found at the second hand store. The silk is so soft and the lens can be stuffed into a bag for travel and I have peace of mind that they will be protected. These would make great gifts for all the Camera Bugs in your life.

Easy Glasses Case - Perfect Father's Day Gift

I wear glasses. I have a bunch of different pairs, but one thing remains the same, I need a place to keep them when I take the off and it needs to not scratch the lenses. I took an old silk tie and made a simple pocket for them. This is an easy project for anyone to make. Plus it’s the perfect gift for Dads, way better than the silk tie that he will never wear!

Father’s Day Penny Frame

Glue pennies or your Dad's favorite things to a frame for Father's Day! Tutorial at

This is the first Father’s Day in years that I will actually get to spend with my dad.  My girls are so excited to be going down to Florida to visit their GrandDude (that is what they call my dad), so when I asked them if they wanted to make him a special present for Father’s Day they were very excited.

My dad is not an easy person to shop for, (but really what man is),  so it took me a while to figure out what we could make him that he would actually use and appreciate.  Then, I thought of making him this penny frame.  My dad is an avid coin collector so I am pretty sure he will really love this frame.  I think the biggest issue may be him picking coins off to keep!

Both girls painted the frame. My little one is still a little young (she is 2) for the glue gun, so my oldest is the one that glued all the coins on.  They are both, however, extremely proud of the project and even posed for a picture for me to put in the frame they made.  Can’t wait for Father’s Day so they can give this to GrandDude!
