At age 12 I wore and old lady with a walker and won 1st place at the party. But my favorite was a bunch of green grapes but it was a lot harder to sit and drive to the party.

Love Halloween, my favorite costume was really just a handmade costume that was unique in general. I made a mask and took random costume pieces to put with it. It was just great fun and laughter.

Bunny costume when I was two years old. Although, I don’t remember wearing it. I love the photos of me in it. And to this day I still love bunnies

I don’t really remember a favorite of my own. But I will always remember dressing my youngest brother as Little Red Riding Hood, long wig and all. None of the neighbors recognized him, instead asked who the darling little girl was with us! We told everyone that Rick was sick and she was our little cousin. Nobody caught on!

My best costume was also the easiest. I was a scarecrow with overalls, a patchwork blouse, and straw hat. Lots of straw stuffing peeking out from all over completed the look.

I was a graduating clown. I wore my cap and gown with clown makeup and a bright yellow wig and pink converse high top sneakers.

My favorite childhood costume was as a witch. My mother gave me a rectangle of black fabric with blue iridescence with a hole for my head. It started out floor length and got progressively shorter over the years. I’d wear it with face paint, a hat, and a broom. I also used it for non-Halloween play. I think it had the highest ratio of fun to work making it of almost any plaything.

I don’t have any memories of Halloween costumes as a child. My fav one for my own kids though is Star Wars. I did Princess Leia, yoda and a storm trooper.

Did to my parents griffin, I didn’t get to wear Halloween costumes as a child. But I’ve really enjoyed all the family costumes I’ve created and worn with my own children.

As a young child in grade school, my Mom always sewed our costumes. I was a witch one year and won first prize in our costume contest at school! I was just elated! I love Halloween…my favorite time of the year. My lawn is all decorated and I love having the many, many kids come for treats!

My favorite costume was a witch costume that my mom sewed for me. Mom was not a sewer and really did a great job! I still have it and my children have worn it!

My mom used to make our costumes. She was a very accomplished seamstress and some of her costumes were quite detailed. But one year she made me a Valentine costume — a giant, posterboard cutout heart… Her droll sense of humor was lost on me at the time, but in retrospect, I love the irony of it.

I was too young to remember, but Mom found a soft rubber pig mask, which fit me just right, so that when I breathed a certain way, the snout would crumple. I don’t know where the pictures have gone.

A hobo. I wore my Dad’s grey flannel pants that had been washed with something red and had turned lavender. I think my mom did that on purpose because she hated those pants and tried to throw them away but he kept pulling them out of the trash. LOL

I’m 74 so I have no idea what my halloween costumes might have been. I think we probably made up something from what we had around the house. My favorite costume as an adult was when I dressed as on-line (a sheet with AOL and other cd’s strung or pinned on.

My mom made my costume each year. She made so many great ones and I usually won a prize for best costume. One of my favorites was a witch costume. She even made the hat. She was so ingenious with what she used to stay in a budget. I remember her making the hat out of tar paper that my dad had in his work shed.

I loved being a gypsy, as a child, because it was so colorful and jingly with all of the scarves, jewelry, bangles, etc. As an adult, Cruella DeVille was my favorite – that one was FUN. 🙂
