Make some sweet, but not to eat, bunny peeps that look like their popular marshmallow counterparts.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Multicraft Krafty Kids Pom Poms Jumbo Pack Pastel Assorted
- National Nonwovens Wool Felt Squares 20/35% 6 in. x 6 in. Spring Collection
- Essentials By Leisure Arts 1/8 in. Pom Poms – Multi 100 pc.
- Hot Glue & Glue Sticks
To begin, glue two of the same size, same color pom-poms together. Next, cut two ears out of felt that matches your pom-poms. To look like a marshmallow peep, your ears need to be approximately the same height as one of the pom-poms. I suggest cutting a long rectangle, and then rounding the corners off of one end.
Glue the ears to a piece of the same color of felt, and cut around them so you now have two ears that are a double thickness of felt–this will help them stand up, instead of flop over.
Part the fur on the top of the pom-pom, and glue the ears to the top of the head. Smoosh the fur around each ear to help anchor it in place.
Glue 3 tiny brown (or black ) pom-poms onto the face of your bunny for eyes, and a nose.
Now tuck your sweet little bunny peeps into baskets, attach them to wreaths, make them into garlands, or glue loops of twine between their ears, and hang them on an Easter tree.
