Sew a cute shamrock for your lapel this St Patrick’s Day! Cozy wool felt and a fresh green colour are the perfect combination for early Spring. You could even make a collection of shamrocks into a festive garland.

Here’s What You Need:

First, cut four identical leaf shapes out of the felt. The leaves should be tall semicircles or half-ovals.

Fold a leaf in half and secure this way with thread. This gives the leaf its 3D shape. Repeat for the other leaves, sewing them together as you go.

Once all of the leaves are connected, add a few stitches in the centre to secure the leaves to each other. Here you could add a gold bead or button to the centre for an extra touch of St Patrick’s Day gold!

Sew the broock back or safety pin onto the back of the shamrock. For extra security, hot glue a small piece of felt over the attached half of the pin after sewing.

Now you have a unique St Patrick’s accessory that is homecrafted with love, just like Irish stew!
