Create a lovely banner of sweet Valentine letters for your holiday home.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Glitter Felt/Foam/Cardstock
- Morex Ribbon Grosgrain Stripes 5/8 in. x 6 yd Red/White
- Pinking Shears
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
To begin, cut various sized rectangles from your felt. Make the rectangles as wide as you want each letter to be.
Use your scissors to cut one end of each of the rectangles into a point.
Cut a length of ribbon as long as you wish your banner to be. Lay one of the rectangles, pointed side facing up, under the ribbon. Fold the point down, onto the rectangle, to trap the ribbon, and form the flap of the letter. Use hot glue to secure.
Continue adding letters to your ribbon. Glue some on flap facing up, and some with the flap hidden on the back.
Cut hearts out of your felt scraps, and use them to “seal” your envelopes.
Create “stamps” for the envelopes that are front facing. Use pinking shears to cut squares with a zig-zag edge, creating an edge like a real stamp.
