These gifts tags add a cozy touch to any gift and are one of my favourite designs to do each year. They are simple to make, but have countless design possibilities. Keeping them simple is key for a classic look.

Here’s What You Need:

Cut out some gift tags from the kraft cardstock. These can be simple rectangles, or the corners can be cut off one end. Punch a whole at one end of each tag.

For holly design: Cut two holly leaves from green felt. If using a fabric pen, draw two “W” facing each other and cut this shape out for one leaf. Glue the leaves onto a tag along with a red button or sequin as a holly berry. Green glitter glue can be added to the leaf for some sparkle.

For tree design: Cut a simple tree shape from green felt and glue it onto a tag. Decorate the tree with glitter glue as tinsel and sequins or buttons as ornaments. A star sequin could be added to the top of the tree.

These gift tags are addictive to make, and you will easily use turn your box of felt scraps into a collection of handcrafted tags for all your presents!

I’m always looking for new ways to make tags for things like crafts and pantry items I store in jars. This is a wonderful start. Thank you for the eye-opening idea!
