My favorite costume wasn’t mine but my little brothers. We dressed him as Little Red Riding Hood and nobody knew him! The neighbors all asked where Rick was, had no idea the “little girl” with us was him!
I do not participate in that holiday.
Snow White , my two youngest sons picked it out for me
at age 11 I was an old lady it won best costume at a party.
Mine is a pirate wench costume! Made a pirate costume for the whole family to participate in a Pirate’s and Wench’s floating ragatta weekend and festival a few years ago in MD!
The Wicked Witch of The Wizard of Oz.
I’ve made a LOT of Halloween costumes but my favorite was probably an alligator, complete with a long snout and teeth, and a 2-3 foot long tail out of chicken wire. Kinda hard to sit with but it was pretty cool. But this year’s may become my favorite – I’m going to the Harley-Davidson trunk-or-treat as a pirate and creating, essentially, a float over my motorcycle as a pirate ship, with my (fake) parrot and my teddy bear who rides on the back with an eye patch & gold hoop as “me first mate”!
I WAS A GRADUATING CLOWN
Halloween is my favorite holiday! Hard to choose my fav costume, but I think it may have been a tavern wench for a Renaissance Faire we went to….on Halloween of course.
I designed a very elaborate butterfly costume. It was purple
I’ve never done a Halloween costume, but it was fun putting together a thrifted 1920s costume for a birthday!
Years ago, when our budget was VERY tight, and I had much more time than money, I made a spider man suit for our older son — shirt, pants, snug-fitting hood of T-shirt knit fabric. I stitched all the web designs with narrow zig-zag and used sooooooo much thread. He loved it, and could use the pants & shirt as PJs after Halloween!
5 years ago, my husband and I went to a Halloween/costume party as the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts . . . it was a lot of fun
My favourite was a robot costume I made out of a gold lame with a hood. It was fun to make and wear.
Many years ago, I made a beauty and the beast costume for my two young children. They were adorable.
When I was young, my three sisters and I would always fight over the Gypsy costume. It had layers of full colorful slips and skirts, lots of jangling bracelets, big hoop earrings. Fun memories!
My favorite was when my son was 5 months old and I was a cow and he was my calf.
Mickey Mouse….still love the mouse! Happy Halloween everyone!!!
In the 70s I dressed up as a hippy. Was fun and not hard finding what I needed for the costume.
Dressing up as a vampire when I was little !
My mom made me a tomato pincushion costume which was so much fun! Thank you for the beautiful giveaway!
Magenta from The Rocky Horror Picture Show
It was a clown costume a friend of the family made for me. It is the only costume I remember, so I guess it has to be my favorite LOL
This wasn’t mine but a family’s that came a few years ago as the Flintstones and the Rubles. The kids were dressed as Bam-Bam and Pebbles. They even decorated their wagon to look like the Flintstone’s car. It was awesome
Long ago, a very large round pumpkin.
When I dressed up as an old fashioned school teacher.
The hunchback of Notre dame.
My mom always made our costumes growing up, so the pre-planned favorites were a flapper and a flamenco dancer. But one year it started snowing and dropped to the low 20’s, so my mom had to improvise and turned our snowsuits into a teddy bear, raccoon, and rabbit. How she threw those together for all three of us in three hours is something I’m amazed at as an adult, although as a kid it was just accepted that Mom would fix it.
My mom made our costumes. When I was 5 or 6, I was an angel. That is, my costume was an angel. My mom made the wings with metal coat hangers bent in to shape and covered with cheese cloth. Then she dipped them into a mixture of water and starch. They were so heavy.
My son in law has made so many great costumes for my grandchildren. One of my favorites was a claw machine costume. It was so creative and a big hit with everyone that saw it.
I worked at a Clinic at one time called the Bone and Joint Center and I dressed up as a skeleton for Halloween for my costume one year! That was one of my favorites!
I didn’t really have a costume, but I did have a mask I liked a lot. It had lots of feathers and was very dramatic and fun.
My favorite was a little Dutch girl. It was my first purchased costume & I loved the hat! I was in first or second grade.
Candy Girl. Very colorful and fun.
