Peppermint just reminds me of what my mother use to burn. Grandma’s house smelled the same but hers was not candles it was her baking, I think that is why mom burned peppermint candles.

I love vanilla! I had a candle once that was called sugared pineapple or something similar. That was a great scent too.

My favorite scent is sugar cookies. When the candle is lite and the smell sails through my house, the desire to go into the kitchen and get some milk and cookies is strong. It always brings back memories of a warm home and comfort.

Thank you for sharing so many interests with us! There are so many wonderful scents available. I have learned that I cannot use food scents! Many moons ago, my husband brought me 2 candles after a trip, sugar cookies and lilac. I burned the sugar cookie several times and developed a craving for cookies. I had to make us a batch! I learned the every time I burned a food smell, I’d developed a craving! I love deep tones. My favorite is made by Madeline’s Scents in Cheyenne, WY, called Russian Tea. I can’t find a similar scent with any other company.

I love food scents!! I like Snickerdoodle Cookies #1, Lemon #2, Pumpkin Pie Spices #3 and should the urge to bake happens, I have lots of help getting rid of it!!

I do love a strawberry scent or maybe lavender the best. Strawberry reminds me of wild strawberry fields when I was young.

How funny that my response last week (messiest craft) was about candle making. I like a mix of vanilla and cinnamon, but it always makes me hungry for cookies or cinnamon rolls. Who knew candles can be so fattening?

I’m a vanilla fan too. Calming, comforting, all season appropriate. I love it. Not overwhelming and it smells like cookies.

I love peppermint and sugar cookie. It makes you think of your grandmother who always makes the best cookies.
