Playing with dye – what fun! A tip I heard was to try ice-dying to get some wonderful effects. Instructions for ice-dying are in many places on the web.

    That’s a GREAT prize!
I learned this week if you add the number 92 to the front of a FedEx package that you can track it through USPS.

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.

I heard that if you soak your dyed garment in diluted white vinegar (after the excess dye is rinsed out) that it will increase the color fastness and it will not fade so easily. I would like to try it.

Always carry your phone for emergencies. Although I like the comment above about not arguing.

A dermatologist told me this tip: “Wash your face thoroughly twice when you take a shower/bath.”
This takes off your daily dirt and removes dead skin cells. This will remove and prevent blackheads.

To cut the bitterness of homemade tomato sauce, add 1/4 tsp of baking soda per cup of sauce and watch it foam. It really changes the taste!

Overheard two guys walking under my apartment. window recently: “Stay away from her, man. She’s evil!” I don’t know who they were talking about, but, if she’s evil, staying away from her seems like a good tip. I would have something better, but what with the COVID and all, I don’t get around much anymore.

The new invasive jumping earth worms can’t survive high temperatures, so solarization of the soil with clear plastic may help.

Buy a sketch book and just draw anything you see. Don’t worry how good it is. You don’t have to show it to anyone. Sketching is a stress buster.

Use baking soda for scrubbing sinks instead of cleanser. It works and it’s much easier on your hands

I recently learned that you can clean you bbq grills by soaking then in water and baking soda. They should turn out like new.

My mother just told me recently…..put car wax on your ceiling fan paddles, the dust won’t stick to them.

I have been doing a lot of “bleach tie dying”, I would love to get into “color” tie dying, just like I was a kid.
    Thank you!

When trying to lose weight, eat 6 small snack type meals instead of eating 3 bigger meals.

If you adopt a cat, get two. They do so much better when they have another cat to play and bond with.

With the warm weather coming on, don’t forget to stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

This tip comes from just last week. When you get older do the math BEFORE your birthday. I told everyone I was 48 years old. Later that night my son asks me “weren’t you 28 when you had me?”. If so, you are only 47 today. Yeah for me.

Listen twice as much as you speak..we were given two ears and one mouth.

Mix some leftover dye with bubbles and aim toward blank paper/cards, to make some fun stationary while you’re at it!

to keep your drains running clear and smelling better. 1/2 cup baking soda plus 1 cup vinegar. Let it sit in pipes 20 to 30 mins. then flush with very hot water. Do this in kitchen and bathroom drains once a month and you’ll never have a problem with clogged drains. (unless someone drops a toy or such down there. There another whole problem. LOL

No, I haven’t heard any good tips lately but I have one that a friend told me. I do this all the time.
Do you know when you buy a whole pound of bacon & you freeze it all in the package but for a recipe you only need 4 slices of bacon? What do you do? You thaw out the whole package for 4 slices, right? NO! Grab a freezer bag after you get the bacon home. Open the bacon & take out each slice. Roll them up & put them standing up in the bag. When you need 4 slices of bacon, take out 4 rolled slices, leave them on the counter for a min. or 2, maybe 3 but when you can unroll them, then cook them. This is the best hack ever! I would so totally love to win this as when I was a sub for Head Start, I had to tie up 20 shirts so they could be tie died. None of the teachers knew how to do it!

Wear gloves when playing with dye, unless you want your hands tye- dyed.

Use rubbing alcohol to remove permanent ink from a white board,. Haven’t tried it yet so don’t know if it works.

Put electronics away and spend quality time with those you love, making memories. Talk about your day, your dreams, your thoughts, your desires. And listen to what others have to say. Tomorrow is never promised, so cherish your loved ones today.
