Create some cute, puffy chicks to decorate your Spring home using this simple tutorial.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Yarn
- Clover Pom Pom Maker Set
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes
- PA Essentials Chenille Stems 6 mm x 12 in. Orange 25 pc.
- Felt, in colors to match your yarn
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
To begin, wind your pom-pom maker with yarn, according to the directions on the package.
Use the tips of your scissors to snip around the pom-pom maker, as directed on the package.
Wrap and tie a strand of yarn around the center of the pom-pom maker. Wrap and knot several times to secure the center of your pom-pom. Remove pom-pom from maker, and trim as needed.
Cut a small length of orange chenille stem, and bend it into a “v” shape. Use hot glue to attach it to the pom-pom as a beak. Use hot glue to attach two googly eyes on both sides of the beak.
Cut two more small lengths of orange chenille stem, and bend the ends so you have two “L” shapes. Cut two tear drop shaped pieces of felt to create little wings. Use hot glue to attach the wings to both sides of the pom pom, and to secure the legs that you poke into the bottom of the pom-pom.
Use various colors of yarn, and felt to create a whole flock of puffy baby chicks to decorate your home for Spring.
Happy Crafting!

These are SO cute. Now I will pull out my pom pom maker and use it. May have to gift these cuties too.
Thank you,
