I might have one of my homemade organic peanut butter filled chocolate eggs, but definitely none of the store bought junk.

I would just be happy if I got an Easter basket, doesn’t matter what was in it. I do like the mini Twix

I was taught to be “GREEN” before being green was cool by my grand-mother. Every year she taught us children how to make our baskets from what we had or what we could gather. What we could not do was use anything that we had purchased, however if we found something we could repurpose it. So on that note what went inside our baskets was also hand made. Therefore we hade to make our “Green Grass”. Every year we made green taffy and cut it to look like grass. Every child looked forward to Easter Candy Grass and even though she has long since passed that tradition still stands strong. I taught my children to make their baskets and grass and we are teaching their children my grandchildren this same tradition. I hope one day to do the same with my great grandchildren. So the candy I hope to ALWAYS find in any EASTER basket I make is our family Easter taffy no matter what color or flavor.

So for me I have to say grandma’s taffy grass

My favorite was a popcorn bunny! But you can’t find them today, so sad! So next on my list is malted eggs or jelly beans.

White chocolate! This time of the year I can also find black licorice! Yummy. Even my young granddaughter finds them delicious.

I’m not a big fan of chocolate, but my wife is a chocoholic! Any kind of chocolate! I do like the coconut Easter eggs. I grew up near Redding PA. They are famous for their holiday chocolate.

A dark chocolate See’s Candy Easter egg! Their chocolate butter egg with walnuts is my favorite!

  8. Linda Bee

Pecan turtles/pecan clusters are my favorite. But I’ll take a chocolate bunny too. The ears come odd first……

Where is the replies button on the Free Friday offer? I don’t have a reply box or buttom

Cadbury Eggs would be amazing and a few of the yellow PEEPS (probably not everyone’s fav but I enjoy them)

I’m not a traditionalist as far as filling Easter baskets. Instead of candy, I’d like a Bacon/Swiss Cheese/Teriyaki Mushroom double burger on an oversized sourdough English muffin, with garlic fries AND onions rings, and a triple dark chocolate milkshake.
What I will have is a salad.

See’s jelly beans! They are the BEST! Their milk chocolate eggs are delicious too, but the jelly beans are only available at Easter and they didn’t even have them last year, so fingers crossed!

Zitners Butter Krak Dark Chocolate Eggs. Not sure people outside of the Philadelphia area know about these, but they sure are good. I was sorely tempted to buy some when I was shopping today, but I’m afraid I put on some pandemic pounds, so I was good and didn’t buy them. Maybe that was dumb. Still haven’t been vaccinated so maybe it was a last chance. Ya never know what will happen.

I’m not much of a candy eater – I would love an Easter basket filled with yarn! What a wonderful giveaway! I had a wax seal set when I was in high school (a LONG time ago!) and just loved it.
