Happy Friday and Happy Spring everyone! Can you believe it is Spring finally, flowers are staring to bloom, and that Easter is next week. Boy did March go fast. I thought I would kick off Easter a week early by giving away this Echo Park Welcome Easter Collection Kit.

The Welcome Easter Kit includes 12 double-sided patterned papers on heavy weight textured cardstock and 1 12 x 12 inch Element Sticker Sheet.  Designs include eggs, bunnies, chicks, carrots, flowers, captions, and more. Captions read “one cute chick”, “time to shake your bunny tail”, “some bunny loves you”, and more.

Every Friday we’ll post a giveaway on Think Crafts and all you have to do is comment on the blog post answering the question of the week. We’ll pick the winners and contact them via email. Deadline is midnight tonight and the winner will be announced Monday. One entry per person please.

Question of the week: What is your favorite flower?

Lilacs are my favorite. They are also my Mom’s favorite. When my lilacs bloom I always cut a big bunch and put them in a vase. I sneak them into my Mom’s when she is not home. When she comes home she has happy surprise!

  2. Mary

Being able to tak a walk outside and see the beauty of God’s creation come to bloom. Roses, Lilies, tree buds. All singing Glory to God.

  3. Barbara Phetteplace

Petunias! It was my late husbands nickname given to him by my then 14 year old daughter and her friends!

  4. Kathy Stringham

Black Petunias and Roses. Nothing prettier than Black Petunias and a Rose bush on a trellis

  5. Sally

Daffodils. Yellow is my favorite color. My father would always bring me a bouquet of daffodils from his yard every spring. After he passed, I mentioned to a workmate that I would never get my bouquet again. The next spring I walked into work and there sitting on my desk was a bouquet of daffodils. It was the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me. That was 33 years ago and I still remember it with tears.

I don’t have just one favorite, I love pink roses, white daisies, sky blue delphinium & deep purple irises, and I have to throw in little wild violets too.

  10. Kelly OBrien

Plumeria. Most varieties smell wonderful and they evoke memories of living in Australia and visits to my brother in Hawai’i.

Favorite flower you ask? That is like asking a mom of 10 children to pick out a favorite child.! All things created by God are so special. Each type of flower has its own uniqeness. For fragrance the multi hued hyacinths, the star gazer lily, some petunias, some roses, some peonies, lilacs, and from my childhood, coming in my bedroom window at night, was the gardenia fragrance. For color, I am partial to all flowers in the blues, red, pinks, magenta, and purple shades with white flowers as accents. Bulbs of most kinds are in my flower beds right now and my birth flower is the daffodil for March. So being 79 last week, I will play my “age card” and say I love them all.

I do not have a favorite flower, but my moms was an orchid. She would wear them in her hair. She especially liked the lilac or purple ones. We lost her in Dec. 1977 she as only 42, and I still miss her. She missed so much living. She would be so proud of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
