Think spring and create some pretty branches of blossoms to decorate your home with this super simple project.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
To begin, cut 1/2-inch wide strips from your felt. Along one long edge, cut narrow fringe. Cut the fringe strips into lengths about 3-inches long. Each flower is made from one strip, so cut accordingly.
Add a dot of glue to one end of a fringe strip, and begin rolling it up, adding more glue as you roll to hold.
Fluff your fringed edge, and as easy as that, you have your first flower. Repeat as many times as you need flowers–I placed three flowers on most of my branches.
Add a dab of hot glue onto the branch where you want your first flower. Press the flat end of the flower onto the glue, and pinch the edges around the twig to hold.
Glue the flowers so they are staggered up and down the branch, rather than all on one side in a row, for a more natural look.
Add tiny pom-poms that match the color of your felt for buds to the top portion of the branches, as desired.
Try making some branches with less flowers, and more buds, to create a more interesting looking arrangement.
Loosely arrange your branches in a vase to create a pretty display.
