I have always been fascinated by Tim Holtz’ fun vintage ephemera packs filled with scraps and pieces inspired by days gone by.  There are so many things you can do with these packs and I thought they would be perfect for some masculine themed cards.  I never seem to have enough of those.

I started off with the Idea-ology Remnants and Keepsakes packs.  I thought they had a great variety of small and large pieces to assemble.  I stuck with the same design for three different cards to make it easy.

Kraft cardstock was used for my card bases and I created three 4.25”x 5.5” bases using my Scor- Buddy.

Next was the arrangement.  I pulled 3 large pieces to use as a background and filled in with smaller rectangle and circle pieces.  I kept the number to 7 and tried to mix the colors a bit for interest.

The fun part is arranging and tucking pieces to see what looks best.

I created the same sentiment for all three cards using Avery Elle’s Floral Notes stamp set. I stamped them on some of the ephemera pieces that had lines so they would fit nicely with everything else on the card.

When I was happy with my arrangements, I adhered them to the card bases using tape runner and foam tabs to create texture and interest.

These unique cards are so fun with all the old timey images!  The ephemera packs are seriously filled with tons of pieces so there is a lot left over to add to journals, tags and scrapbook layouts.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
