I think I have just about every craft tool I could ever need—I really love crafting! But the one tool I didn’t have in my supply bin was the Crop A Dile Hole Punch and Eyelet Setter from We R Memory Keepers and I don’t know why I waited so long. Yes, it does look like it may be complicated to use, but it’s actually not and I’ve found this too be a tool I’ve been reaching for quite often lately.
This handy tool both punches holes and sets eyelets. Plus, it’s strong enough to punch through heavy chipboard and other thicker material. Perfect for book binding or other DIY projects.
The hole punch alone is a great feature because it allows you to punch both 1/8 in. and 3/16 in. holes but then also adjust where you punch the hole from the edge of the paper.
This is great if you’re wanting to punch a series of holes across the edge of some cardstock or chipboard. In my case, I’ve been creating a lot of journals with rings lately and this has been indispensable. It’s also great for punching accurate holes in the tops of gift tags.
I like that you can actually see where you’re punching your hole from above.
Another great feature of this Crop-A-Dile tool is that you can set various sizes of eyelets. Eyelets are great if you want to protect a punched hole and add a decorative touch to it.
All you do is simply adjust the little cubes on both the top and bottom of the tool depending on the type of eyelet you want to attach, then compress the tool together to secure. The options include 3/16 in. and 1/8 in. eyelets, 3/16 in. eyelets and washers and flat embellishments (sold separately from the tool). The tool comes with a chart to guide you on setting it up for the various embellishments.
This is definitely a tool to add to your collection!
