That is wonderful Wendy, I hope she is feeling back to her normal self very soon. I am sure you are taking wonderful care of her.

When you view every day as a blessing then there are so many moments to choose from! The best moment though, my husband and I went out to get some tea to enjoy and we got one for free without a coupon or deal, we were so very thankful!

The best thing was that yesterday was lovely warm and sunny and I had a chance to try to clean up my veggie garden so it looks so much better.

This week has been Home Coming week at the high school where my grandson attends. Due to Covid 19 the school was not allowed to have a parade. The students were allowed to have decorate a hall at the school. Each grade chose a theme, ours was “Under the Sea”. I got to use my crafting ideas and help with the decorating. The school held a trunk or treat last night, so everyone could come and see all of the halls. I am glad I got to use my ideas and ability to help during this trying time for everyone.

This week all three of my kids facetimed with me ( they all live in different states)! Yeah for family time no matter how we get it!

The best thing that happened to me this week was God allowing me to wake up each day with my wonderful husband and best friend. 0:)

Miraculously, even in these times, I made a new friend through our town’s moms’ group on Facebook. We discovered that we have friends in common, and met for the first time yesterday for a socially distanced hangout around her fire pit. It was good to get out and I absolutely love my new friend!

Boss gave $500 bonus on Tuesday for us working during this hard times at home and putting in full days work. What a blessing the money was.

The best thing… and this may sound funny…was that instead of skipping my yearly mammogram check up, I went ahead with it and was found with the early stages of breast cancer. If I had waited, it would have been in later stages. This diagnosis is treatable whereas later, it may or may not have been.

I stumbled upon my deceased Mom’s missing rings that she had hidden during a bout of dementia. I have been looking for them for almost 7 years.

Walking past the customer service booth of a local business, I recognized the man working there. I don’t know his name, but I do know he is always friendly and helpful even when dealing with rude, angry customers. There were no customers there, so I turned around and walked up to the desk to say hello, even though I didn’t have a problem. He looked up and said he was surprised someone would stop just to say hello. He told me that he was sort of down, and that I had cheered him up by taking time to stop by just to say hi. We never know when something so simple can brighten someone’s day. It certainly did brighten my day, also.

My blessings are multiple! God is good! My favorite things always involve my family! My children are always sending me pictures and video clips to keep me close to my grandbabies. This week my grandsons (6 and 4), called me to tell me they missed me so much and just wished I would come visit them! “They understand though, ‘cause of the rona virus and I am old! “ lol They melt my heart and make everything just a little bit sweeter!

I have lots of faith, and during times of trouble I do my crafting and while doing so, I pray and craft!
Right now I’m working on a hand crocheted project for a great, great, nephew. (Whole going so, praying for his family!)
I’m hoping to receive a free knitting machine because my eyesight is worsening snd I this would be easier then trying to count all my hand sewn or crocheted stitches which take me way too long!
Thank you for the opportunity and God Bless you,

A much needed gift from my father-in-law arrived in the mail which he had no way of knowing we needed it. It was a big answer to prayer.

What a blessing to read all your comments. Wendy with your Mom….Jeanie with your mammogram….Suzanne with your Mom’s rings….Brenda with $500 extra….all of you…..such positive, beautiful messages, so may blessings. Love it!!

I’ve been having a very difficult time for over 5 1/2 years. I’v been laid up with severe spinal infirmities. Now, I’ve torn my rotator cuff on top of these spinal issues. My PCP FINALLY is getting his butt moving. Pittsburgh doctors have told me I’m “way beyond their capabilities,” so it’s off to Cleveland Clinic. Please keep me in your prayers that they can help me. Can’t take the pain & being laid up……I was always very active, always working out, riding bike, walking, etc. Walking & standing are my worst enemies now. 🙁

Sharing some positive things this week, though…… One of my former “student workers” (I used to be the office manager at a university & had lots of undergraduate/graduate students working under me.) All of them were wonderful, but I had a few special ones….this one….for sure. She wrote this on my timeline on Facebook this past week. I was so blessed. “I answered the phone in the high school office this morning (I was the only person around at the time) “Good morning, Smethport High School. Theresa speaking. How may I help you?” -just like I’ve answered the phone there for 24 years. The lady on the other end had the wrong number and I helped give her the corrected one. After we exchanged good days she asked where I got my secretarial skills. I laughed as I’m a science teacher not a secretary, and replied, “Clarion University’s biology department secretary, Pam, trained me 28 years ago.” The older woman went on to say “She did a very good job”.
Pam, I just want you to know that I learned more than how to answer a phone and direct calls from you.
Thank you for taking the time to share so much with me and the others in our department. Your kind heart, love of Vince Gill, great sense of humor, kindness to all, and faith in God and humanity never went unnoticed.”

Then, my niece shared it to her timeline & said she was so proud of me. She said: “I have the best aunt ever. So glad she got to share her God given talent with you. She’s always been more like a Mother to me. Had a lot of influence in my life to succeed as being a nurturing mother because she was always giving hugs to us when she saw us. I hope this post is shareable.(Now, I’m crying.)

What a shock!!! What a GREAT blessing. (I wasn’t going to leave names/places in, but I decided to leave them in there.

Then, I contacted CreatreForLess & Kim was so kind in her response. I then called them & the woman who answered (can’t remember her name, sorry) recognized it was me! What a pleasant surprise. She took care of everything, so I was thrice blessed this week…..well four times. Reading all your comments here was so refreshing. Loved it.

Sorry I left such a long message. I didn’t know how to “tell the story” without posting what they said. You all were a great blessing to me today & I needed it.

    God bless!!!!

The best thing that happened for me this week was that I woke up with breath in my lungs. Hasn’t been a goo week at all, septic tank backed up, my cat (Siamese who was dumped here) went into labor and is still in labor 2 days later with huge kittens, only one alive thus far and Vets want 1k to do c-section that I don’t have, my fan broke in my room so its 80 in here, my stomach is messed up due to nerves probably so I can’t eat or I will have the no symptom craps.. shall I go on?

My nephew and his adorable son surprised us with a Saturday afternoon lunch and swim visit. After no social anything for ages it was a super surprise and delight. I didn’t swim but my husband did and was dramatically “saved” by the four year old. Super cute and the best entertainment in a long time. Definitely a highlight! Missed our niece and great niece but they were off having their own fun.

  20. Jeanne Hughes

This week I started knitting again after a long break and made a pumpkin by knitting a rectangular piece that I gathered at the top and bottom, stuffed it and made a stem of felt. I was pleased with
    my project!

Got a job interview! If I get the job even better, but landing an interview definitely helped me feel viable.

  22. Dianne G.

The highlight of my week was when my granddaughter phoned me and we had such a nice visit over the phone. I miss not being able to see my grandchildren and look forward to the day that we will be able to return to visiting in person.

  23. Patricia Nelson

This was a good week because I am still here on this earth God willin. With this covid-19 I am very thankful & very sorry for all the people who have died from this.

  24. Cindy Sherwood

We went camping in the RV for the last time this year. Only got to go a couple times this years.

  25. Susan P.

I took apart the pipes under my kitchen sink, cleared a clog from the pipes and garbage disposal and got the water flowing freely. Saved some money!

  26. Jaimi B

This week was a little rough. But it’s Friday night and the love of my life is sitting beside me. That’s always the best.

  27. Patricia Cunningham

My husband quit arguing (he has Alzheimer’s) and let me hook up his BIPAP machine. He has lung damage and coughs a lot, so this was a fantastic happening for this week. Also helped two embroidery friends digitize some designs. I enjoy helping others and like to digitize since it can be a challenge!
