Even though getting together with friends looks a little different right now, there are ways we can stay connected.  Sending cards is an easy way to do this and even easier using a scrapbook kit.  I’ve mentioned before in previous posts, I love using scrapbooking supplies to make easy cards.  You make the most of your supplies and it’s so easy because everything is pre-cut and patterned.  All you need are some card bases and a little foam tape.

I fell in love with the bright colors of Photo Play’s Best Friends Scrapbooking Collection Kit along with the fun sentiments, so I decided to make a few clean and simple cards.

I also used some favorite pieces from the Ephemera Kit to add extra dimension.

Many scrapbook collection kits come with large patterns made especially for 12×12 layouts.  There are some patterns usually included which are smaller and I chose these as options for backgrounds on my cards.

Quick Tip:  Look back at some of your older cards to get sketch ideas, then just recreate them using the kit elements.  This makes the process go a lot faster.  Here are some of the cards I created:

The ephemera kit comes with some frames that are perfect to ground your elements on a card so I used some of those.  The stickers are great too to add with a simple banner sentiment.  Just use some foam squares to pop up the pieces for dimension.  If you need extra color, add a few Nuvo drops like I did here using Dandelion Yellow.

I love the long sticker of friends included in the collection pack, so I cut it down to fit across the front of my notecard.  Some simple layering of patterned paper and one of the sentiments completes the look.

These hilarious sentiments are perfect for that friend who likes to be adventurous…..

More meaningful sentiments….For the top card, I covered a white notecard with some patterned paper from the collection, then created a frame using a circle die and more white card stock.

These make the most cheerful cards any friend would love to have.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
