Sending a card for no reason is one of the best ways to reach out to friends and family.  This “groovy” greeting was easy to make using the dies from the Flowers & Fence stamp and die set from Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard.

In the beginning, I did not have a plan for my flower colors, so I just decided to die cut a bunch of them at one time.  Just grab a variety of card stock colors and start die cutting.  It’s fun to see what color combos you can come up with!

After cutting my flowers, I used a sentiment and the happy face from the Fiskars All Smiles stamp set and heat embossed it onto a piece of white cardstock.  I filled in the happy face with some yellow Zig Clean Color brush markers for a bright pop of color.  Then, I cut the card stock panel down and adhered it along the bottom edge of a white note card using foam tape.  To heat embossed the images, I stamped with Versamark Ink and used black embossing powder.

I then got to work arranging my flowers and stacking the flowers with foam squares all around the sentiment.  It’s helpful to lay out your design ahead of time, then just adhere things down one at a time.

To draw attention to the sentiment, I added a few Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.

This is such a fun 60s inspired card.  The bright colors are sure to make anyone smile.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
