Baking , although I am just a stay at home mom, I am often called Betty Crocker where ever we live. I love making cookies, scones, muffins, granola, pizza and bread. . I love to share what I make and I enjoy showing others how to make it too.

  2. Lori Hilgart

Piano – although life gets in the way, sometimes, and I haven’t played piano nearly as much as I would like, I was quite talented. At age 16, I played a Grieg concerto at a contest as well as for my music awards banquet.

  3. Wendy

I enjoy making soaps, lip balms & lotion bars from essential oils & natural products. I would make an item with emphasis on nature & eco friendly.

  4. Janet M

I think I would discuss the importance of the environment and having a garden to bring joy to your life.

  5. Gloria Karam

I love doing many crafts and baking ..I use to do weddings…the whole 9 yards..cakes, centerpieces, fresh and silk flowers, bouquets, corsages …all of it..I also love wood working ,sewing .paper quilling ..making flowers out of paper.Making stuffed animals, doll clothes, doll furniture..I just love being in the world of crafting .I love to talk to others that do it also.

Science! I would try and show off my talent for creating junk journals. Concocting paper, textiles, paints, fabrics, embellishments together to make a fun piece for journaling. I love junk journaling and using different ones to journal in (i.e. – products I want/need; places I’ve been on vacation; scrapbook retreats with friends; recipes; etc.)

  7. Susie Avedikian

Crafting and baking. I volunteer at my local sheriff station and known as the baking lady.

  8. Patricia Cunningham

Machine embroidery, digitizing, sewing, making rhinestone designs, cutting heat transfer vinyl designs, creating heat transfers, counted cross stitch and creating designs for it on the computer, drawing designs, and painting. Any other craft I might like to try just to keep myself active, happy and maintain my positive attitude during this time. I have always enjoyed trying new things.

  9. Laura

Miniature. Especially origami I’m great at doing small and it always surprises people to see. I can also write up to 7 characters onto a grain of rice without a magnifying glass.

  10. Lesa Dean

I’ve sung since I was four and I started playing the guitar in 4th grade. My talent would be to sing, while playing the guitar, performing a song I wrote, while also wearing a dress I made myself! I love to sew, crochet, quilt, bead, counted-cross-stitch!

  11. Loretta Scott

I wish I could do something clever, but alas I’m not sure quilting and puzzle making would be presentable entertainment. I’ve just started “rock painting” though maybe I could show how I paint a ladybug on an ole river rock, lol.

  12. Cath

This would be why I never entered any kind of beauty contest, aside from the lack of the requisite of beauty. Lack of stage talent. Maybe that’s why sitting alone in my studio creating artsy things makes me happy. Not really a competitive person at all. Maybe I could come up with a sarcastic comedy routine. Buddabing.

  13. charlette timpson

Since was always fascinated with color. So I was always trying something. I am now making a rainbow out of quilling. I have done woodburning. I’m now 63 and my mom teases me and says shes happy she doesn’t have to pay for it now

  14. Randi

Probably not needing taken to a hospital after tripping and falling on stage, or some similar snafu.

  15. Linda K. Jessen

If I was lucky enough to be in the Miss America talent contest, hum, sixth grade band clarinet (no).
Dancing the twist (no). Singing (oh my goodness – no) My family says I sound like an off key skreechy owl. Reciting a beautiful poem (the only one I can remember all the words would be, Roses are Red, Violets are ‘Glue’) oops. Alas, I have no talent. Unless baton twirling (like in the movie Miss Congeniality), might be okay. Flames and all.

  16. Vinny Slagle

I’d love to do crocheting, creating/sewing dolls clothes patterns and needle pointing.

  17. Lori Mukai

I’ve always loved to watch someone paint live. My talent would be to create a spontaneous piece of art, ala Bob Ross style. I think a live audience would really respond to that!!

  18. Elizabeth Davis

Is being a dog whisperer a talent that America really wants to see? I have a way with animals it seems. It’s a talent passed to me from my grandmother.

  19. Tammie Kelly

Well, I have no acceptable pageant show talents so I guess it would have to be baking.

  20. Katie D

My talents truly lie in the non stage performance kind. I can paint you a picture, but not in the time constraints of a beauty pageant. I could sew you a quilt or outfit or something like that, but again not in the time slot. I use to play the flute in school so possibly I could revive that talent but it would take a good long time to get back to playing much more than Mary Had A Little Lamb! I think I’ll stick to not entering pageants. It’s worked out well so far!

  21. Marissa M.

ummm…walking around on the balls of my feet without my toes touching the floor because they are double jointed. I do a mean front kick too.

  22. Amy Wilkinson

I’m one of those people who think they don’t have many talents but am good at small jack-of-all-trades things.
But what I really do well is SEE people. In public random passings – I make eye contact and smile, make small positive comments like “what a pretty top, love your hair, great jacket dude, what a nice smile, or whatever small things I notice about them. Once in a while someone looks at me like I’ve got 3 heads but the vast majority smile back, perk up, grow a bit taller and brighter and happier. No one should feel invisible. Yup, guess I’m a bit odd so probably wouldn’t be Miss America anyway, lol.

  23. Amy Wilkinson

Loving everyone’s comments. Isn’t it nice that the world is full of such variety and humor and gifts?!

  24. Theresa H

I can’t sing or dance or play an instrument soooooo……I would do a craft project, any craft you choose I have tried everything and am better at some than others.

  25. Sharon F.

If I were in the Miss America talent competition, my talent would be dancing. Music makes me move!

  26. Renee Frino a certified ceramic teacher with many awards for my students & self. I had to go w up classes to caregiver for both parents who were diagnosed 2 weeks apart.
So I’d create something there for them. I am a crafter of paper crafts too. I have no “normal” talent lol.

  27. Judith King

I like to plant flowers, so when I become Miss America (at 76) maybe I could bring a raised bed on stage and plant a colorful and interesting bed of begonias and geraniums in pink and orange with trailing white petunias down the front!

  28. Kelly OBrien

Knife-throwing. But I’m rusty, so I’d definitely choose a bulls-eye type target and not anything that might be harmed by being out of practice.

  29. Denise L.

My talent in the Miss America Pageant would be the Gift to Gab! Just ask my impatient husband. Lol He will tell you I’m Mrs. social butterfly! I have to make my rounds and talk to everybody! 🙂

  30. Terri Howe

I would have so try stand up comedy. I can’t sing, except in the car, not a great dancer. I don’t think watching me make a card would be interactive enough, but I am pretty funny.

  31. Katie

Crafting, baking, making things with my hands! Just picking up calligraphy again after many years so these would be so great to get to use!

  32. Betty

If I made it to the Miss America Pageant, the talent I would have to show would be singing opera and dancing a jig while on stilts. This would be easy after wearing the stilts throughout the pageant to add height to my four foot eleven body!

  33. Teresa C Willis

Would a wing eating contest count as a talent? lol If so that would be my talent.

  34. Jennifer Hendrick

Hmmm… my talent would be painting or drawing but I can sing too! I wonder if organizing a pantry or putting together a 500-1000 piece puzzle in one night would count as a talent ;)!!

  35. Gail Plaskiewicz

I know exactly what my talent would be. From 1974 till about 5 or 6 years ago I took Jazz dance lessons. For the first 5 years I was in a class but because I was the oldest in the class but looked like the youngest, my teacher asked me if I wanted to take private lessons & I just jumped at the chance. I have 5 dance trophies & one comes up to my waist (I’m only 4’6). I miss Jazz so much but I care give my mom so I don’t take anymore. I miss it so much but I am still pretty good at it so that would be my talent.
As for those rainbow pens, being a card maker & person who loves to color, I will certainly put them to good use if I win them!

  36. Michelle S.

Some of my many talents include; looking up phone numbers in a phone book, finding out the spelling of a word by finding it in a dictionary, and learning facts about a subject by reading an encyclopedia. Oh no, I must be old knowing these classic talents! Still young at heart!

  37. Dianne G.

I would not be able to display the usual talents that people have in a pageant. I can cook a lot of different breads so I would probably display a sampling of all the types I have made in the past. I would have to have a little oven to have bread baking in because who can resist the smell of fresh baking bread?

  38. Mary H

In the unlikely event I would be a contestant, my talent would be trying not to trip on my gown while walking across the stage.
