Follow this simple tutorial to make a warm, and fuzzy garland to decorate your home for the winter months.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Dimensions Wool Felt 12 x 12 in. White
- Darice 3-Ply Jute Cord 98 yd. Natural
- Household Essentials Clothespins Birch 96 pc
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Pencil (optional)
To begin, use your marker to draw yourself a mitten shaped template. Cut it out.
Use your pencil to trace your mitten shape on to the back of your felt (so the lines won’t show), or just hold your template onto the felt, and cut around it. Cut out all of your mittens. I chose to make an even number, so I would have pairs of mittens.
Cut strips of felt to create cuffs for the tops of each of your mittens. Round the ends of each cuff.
Glue the cuffs onto the top of each mitten, alternating the directions your mittens face, if desired, so you wind up with pairs of left, and right mittens.
Cut a length of jute, and clip your mittens onto the jute with your clothespins.
Hang your cozy clothesline for a sweet winter decoration.
