It’s easy to add hand drawn touches to clean and simple cards when you just need a little something to pull the design together.
I love a nice, big sentiment and this set from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous called Christmas Time is going to be well used this year.
I wanted to keep my card clean and very simple, but I just wanted to add a couple of simple touches.
I love the look of score lines on card fronts, so after placing my greeting on to the front of an A2 sized white card panel, I drew some pencil lines around the perimeter. I used my Make Art Stay-tion with the magnetic ruler to help me line everything up perfectly.
Using my Scor-Buddy, I scored lines into the panel using the pencil lines as my guide.
Flip the panel over, and you have these subtle, raised lines.
For the little Christmas trees, I white heat embossed the trees from the Sizzix Candy Cane Wishes stamp set and added them just above my sentiment.
I stamped and clear heat embossed the sentiment using Ruby Red Delicata ink.
I used my ruler and a thin, red marker to draw a line above and below the sentiment.
This card is very simple, but the added score lines and pen lines just give a little extra definition without being too busy. Thanks so much for joining me today!
