Are you looking for a fun and unique craft idea this Fall? Well this Pencil Shaving Autumn Tree craft is just that!
It’s super easy to set up, doesn’t require a long list of materials and best of all, it’s so exciting to work with unique materials!
You’ll need:
- Colored pencils (all the Fall hues like yellows, reds, oranges, browns)
- Pencil sharpener
- White cardstock
- Glue stick (you can also use liquid school glue)
- Brown crayon/colored pencil/marker for the tree trunk
Step one:
First start by sharpening all of the colored pencils and collecting the pencil shavings into a bowl or cup.
Step two:
Once you have enough pencil shavings, draw a tree trunk using a brown crayon on the white card stock. You can use a brown colored pencil or even a marker.
Step three:
Now is time to glue the pencil shavings! Carefully pick up the pencil shaving as they’re quite easy to break, place a little bit of glue above the drawn tree trunk and glue on the shavings.
How cool does this Autumn tree look? Try this super fun craft idea with your kids!
