Create beautiful heart suncatchers using tissue paper! This craft is perfect for kids of all ages and works on many important skills, like creativity, fine motor skills and concentration. Plus it’s totally fun to make and looks great hung on a sunny window!

You’ll need:

Step one:

Cut the tissue paper into small squares.

Step two:

Lay the contact paper sticky side up and layer on the tissue paper squares. Make sure the tissue paper squares overlap just a bit so they can still be somewhat see through. Using the foam brush, brush a thin layer of mod podge over all of the tissue paper squares. Let dry.

Step three:

Now, using the craft scissors carefully cut out a large heart. Brush a thin single stroke of mod podge which works wonderfully to stick right onto the window.

Step four (optional):

You can also hang the suncatcher by a string. Make a single hole using the hole puncher at the top middle of the heart. Thread the string though, make a knot and it’s ready to hung!
Aren’t they gorgeous? These Heart Suncatchers make a wonderful, colorful decoration to any window!
