This Pom-pom Hot Air Balloon craft is super easy and fun to make, after all we’re using pom-poms! This activity takes little effort to prep and not a whole lot of materials making this a real quick activity for busy kids.
- White cardstock (we used light beige as we ran out of white)
- Pom-poms (assorted colors)
- Colored permanent markers
- Glue stick
- Colored pencils
Step one (quick prep):
Place the white cardstock vertically and draw a hot air balloon. You can add a simple face right on the basket for more cuteness! Don’t color in the balloon.
Next using the assorted pom-poms glue them onto the balloon filling in all the white spaces.
Now using the colored permanent markers and colored pencils draw clouds, birds, the sun, mountains or with anything you want to fill in the empty spaces around the hot air balloon. We kept it clean and simple and drew some clouds with a few birds.
This Pom-pom Hot Air Balloon looks festive and colorful on its own simply on a piece of cardstock or you can turn it into a fun card making it perfect for a summer birthday or celebration!
