I love decorating my own blank notecards and envelopes. You never know when you need just a quick little note to drop in the mail, so I like to have a lot on hand.
This stamp set from Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard called Flowers and Fence was so cute with all the happy flowers I thought it would be perfect for a note card project.
I decided to go “preppy” in my color scheme so I used Memento Rosebud pigment ink along with a Radiant Neon pigment ink in Electric Green. I used some flat white card stock panels that were A2—4 ¼”x 5 ½” and simply stamped a few flowers on the left side.
I added a few of the smaller flowers using Black Shimmer Delicata ink to help ground the design. After all my stamping, I covered the panel in clear embossing powder and ran my heat gun over it.
I continued the same design on to my envelope only I used Memento dye ink instead and did not heat emboss the flowers. I forgot how fun it is to decorate envelopes. Those flowers are so happy and fun!
I added more flower detail along the flap and included a sentiment from the stamp set.
Just pop the little card in the envelope and you have a special greeting for a friend. Thanks so much for joining me today!
