When you are sick, there’s nothing better than having someone take all the worries off your plate for a while. I love the sentiment on my project today, because it’s telling a friend you’ll take care of things. Plus, there’s a pun involved which can always bring a smile.
The stamp set I used is called Get Well and it includes these cute bandages that I stamped multiple times on to kraft colored cardstock. In the end, I don’t end up using all of them, but it’s always nice to have extra to work with.
To add a realistic look to the bandages, I decided to stamp the dotted “filler” stamps to the insides using Versamark Ink and some clear embossing powder.
Before die cutting them with the matching die included in the set, I trimmed each bandage apart with my large scissors so I could quickly run them through my Sidekick, one after the other.
I find this tiny die cutting machine really convenient when I just want to cut quick little images like hearts or words.
For the background of my card, I used a really pretty heart stencil from PA Essentials and blended some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink over it. I laid down a strip of thin Post-it Tape on either side of my vertically placed white note card to mask off the edges.
After peeling off the Post-It Tape, I added the little bandages over the top of the hearts along with the sentiment.
I added another sentiment to the inside.
The set comes with a little heart die cut I added to the top of each bandage. I love this simple layered look with the stencil. Perfect for that special friend that could use a little care.
Thanks so much for joining me today!

I love them. I would say “Don’t worry , I’ll keep as snug as a bug in a rug..
