Happy Friday all! I can’t wait to get outside and enjoy the amazing weather we are having this week. But before I do, I wanted to share what we have for you this week. This week I am giving away one of these super cute DMC Hug This Yarn Kits!

Each DMC Hug This Yarn Kit includes a super-soft and fluffy plush toy that hugs a plump skein of variegated yarn just right for knitting a blanket. When you finish the blanket, roll it up and tuck into the toy’s open arms for a special gift. The Bunny  includes a bunny plush toy, size 2 fine weight acrylic yarn in variegated pink/purple, and instructions. Finished size measures approximately 24 1/2 x 31 1/2 inch. Crochet option available online at

Question of the week: If you had one extra hour of free time a day, how would you use it?

As a retired person, I have nothing but time and as a widow, my “old lady” friends are my most favorite companions. But with that extra hour, I would set out all sorts of tasty snacks and invite all of my friends over for a visit because we can never have enough together time.

It’s going to sound selfish…I am really busy taking care of my family and pets, I would love more “me” time. I miss the carefree days of being young. Maybe I would play with makeup, my hair or paint my nails….

Soon I will technically have lots of hours of free time, but I will be using them to find a new job!

If I had an extra hour a week I would make more craft items. That would include crocheting and making folded quilt ornaments.

  5. Brenda Galway

If I had an extra hour a day, I would organize all my scrapbooking paper in a way that would let me find what I want in the shortest amount of time. But, hey, a gal can never have too much cardstock and pattern paper, right!!

  6. Mary Ann Ely

I have 2 craft rooms and I’m trying to get most of it in one bigger room so would spend my time getting it done.

    Super cute giveaway!
I would love to have an extra hour a day to devote to organizing my craft room!

  8. Jean

I would get more organized and take a little time for myself. As I am always working on some project, I would finish at least one of them.

  9. Kelly OBrien

Sleep. I didn’t take naps as a child, but now that I’m 50 sometimes a nap sounds like the most luxurious thing in the world!

  10. Lisa McCUlley

I would love 1 more hour a day to just crochet and not feel guilty that I should be doing housework!!!

  11. Maria Shehan

I am homebound and disable so I have a lot of time but extra time is welcome when my children and my grandchildren come to visit…

  12. Brenda Lieswald

I would do 1/2 of it organizing paper and scrap book supplies other 1/2 I would do a scrapbook page or two.

  13. Bunny Crosson

I would call some sick friends and let them know they’re not forgotten. At 83 I’m lucky to have friends to call,

I’d sew! I love to make quilts, quiet books, bibs, and all things for kids/babies. They are fast and fun, and a good way to use up some of the adorable scraps I couldn’t bear to part with!! If I had any time left, I’d work on my embroidery machine to embellish some of those cute little bibs and things! I need to clean house, but as long as there are craft projects to be done, who wants to waste time on housework!??! 😉

  15. Nancy Pawlowski

I would use the extra hour to organize my yarn stash so that I can access the colors easier to keep on knitting and crocheting!

I would want the extra hour to come as a surprise in the afternoon. Busy in the middle of things, maybe not as on top of everything as I had planned and… surprise, an extra hour! I might be practical and spend it catching up… or use it as an opportunity to return to a favourite current project 🙂

I would spend that extra hour with my grandchildren. Their energy and cuteness just charges up my batteries so I can deal with whatever the rest of the day, week or month has to offer.

  18. Marianne R Blauvelt

I would spend it reading a book. That’s something I seldom have time to do.

  19. Peggy

I can’t crochet anymore but I have a lot of good friends that would be glad to do it for me! I have a new great granddaughter that is due on my birthday in July and those just happen to be my grand daughter’s (THE MOM to be) favorite colors as well as mine. That would be a great gift for the baby when it starts getting cold.

With an extra hour a day, I might be able to make a nice dinner once in a while. It would also give me more tome for all my embroidery, card-making crocheting and loom knitting projects!

  21. Colleen Murray

I would set aside an hour to do something crafty EVERY DAY – and not just when there is possibly, maybe, some free time!

  22. Judi Robins

An extra hour each day? I would learn something new–a new knit stitch, something political, a new recipe, a new way to show my family I love them even more today than yesterday.

  23. Connie M Mahoney

I would shop my stash for the next shawl I want to make as the one I am currently working on is almost finished!
