Teeny miniature hanging plants. Is there anything better than that? This die from Sizzix called Hanging Planter is so cute, I couldn’t wait to turn it into a card.
I wanted to give the look of a macramé planter, so I cut the hangers out of burlap paper.
For the actual plants, I first cut them out of green cardstock and heat embossed them with clear powder to give the look of shiny leaves. I die cut a second set in kraft colored cardstock just for the pots.
Here’s a close up of the assembly….Tombow Aqua glue worked well to adhere everything.
For the inside, I used a sentiment from Ranger’s Letter It Encouragement set.
I attached the planters to a strip of white woodgrain cardstock I adhered to the card with foam tape. A few enamel dots were added to look like pegs.
This was such a fun die set to work with. You could make the plants or planters all different colors to get many different looks. Thanks so much for joining me today!
