When we think of the colors of Fall, they usually include reds, oranges, yellows and dark browns.  My project today goes in a little bit of a different direction.  I was inspired by this little embellishment from Carta Bella’s Fall Break ephemera pack.  This and some of the stickers and other elements feature teals with oranges and yellows with an off-white background.  I loved this alternative to the traditional Fall palette and decided to create a card using these same colors.

I started off by embossing and cutting a piece of navy 4 ¼ x 5 ½ cardstock with the Sizzix Impresslits Wildflower Frame.  This both embosses a wreath as well as cuts out the middle all at the same time.

I adhered the panel to a white notecard, then cut and embossed 3 more pieces using 2 shades of teal and orange cardstock.

I cut out the wreath from each of the embossed panels using my trusty Cutter Bee Scissors and added foam tape to the back of each.

Then, I simply layered them in different directions over the top of the navy panel.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the “thanks” from Ranger’s Letter It Thank You stamp set onto some vellum using Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossing powder.  I trimmed it out with my scissors and placed it over the wreath with some adhesive runner.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a sticker from the Fall Break Collection kit to kind of tie in the color scheme and fall theme together.  For the other side, I used a sentiment from Hero Arts’ Year Round Sentiments stamp set.

I love this fresh take on fall colors.  Color inspiration is another great way to get even more use out of your scrapbooking collection kits.  Thanks for joining me today!
