I love glitter not only for its sparkle, but also for all the fun color options that are available. For my project today, I’m using some neon colored glitters along with a pretty stencil from Echo Park called Classy Fan. I’ll be adhering the glitter using translucent embossing paste. It’s perfect, because it’s clear and acts as a really strong glue for all that gorgeous glitter.
For my first card, I used a dark gray card base to pair with some orange-pink glitter. I used some Post-It Tape to secure my stencil, then used a gift card to spread the paste over it evenly.
This actually looks kind of good on its own—it will dry clear, but glitter makes it look even better!
I added a generous amount of glitter to the paste and tapped off any excess. I then put the card aside to dry.
For my next two cards, I created some masks from shaped die cuts and stenciled over those to create a different look.
Here, I used the stencil and bright green glitter. I used a mask made from an oval nested die with some masking paper over the front of the card and spread the embossing paste over that.
Here, I did some scattered hearts with bright blue glitter and a heart mask.
Simple embellishments including Nuvo Drops , wood veneers, die cut and stamped pieces add a little extra to tie everything together.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope this inspires you to add some glitter accents to your next project.
