What girl doesn’t love being a glamorous fashionista?  This card is perfect for a birthday or any day you want to share a fashion statement with your glam girl.  The stacked layered design makes a statement in itself and it’s easy to do.

For this card design, you will want a patterned paper such as this piece from Echo Park’s Fashionista collection where the pattern is repeated throughout the paper.

Lay your chosen die sets on a piece of the paper so that each shape has some of the same pattern in it.  You can choose any die shape that would fit your card design such as the squares that are used here.  Run the piece through your die cut machine.

Add an extra layer for more interest by using another design in the paper collection you have chosen.  The paper used here is one of the Journaling Cards from the Fashionista Collection and made the perfect separate layer needed.

Adhere the first square onto the journal card using a tape runner.  Add the consecutive squares using a 3-d adhesive in between each layer to make it stand out.

Finish the stack off by placing one of the stickers (or a sticker you have chosen) onto the smallest square with the 3-d adhesive.  Lay this piece aside.

Use your favorite embossing folder (Lace folder by Sizzix shown) and your die cut machine to create a texture background for the card.  Trim it down to size as needed.

Attach it to a card base created from cardstock.  This card base is 5” x 7”.

Add the stacked piece to the center of the card.

Finish it off with some fun fashionista stickers and adhesive gems to add a little more glam.

The next time you want to make a statement on someone’s special day be sure to do it like any fashionista would with this cute Glam Girl card.  The layered design is, also, perfect for any occasion or theme that you need a card.  It’s simple and quick to make for those last minute cards, too!

About Peg

Peg Rounds lives in East Moline, Illinois with her husband and best friend, Kevin and their son Josh and 2 dogs. She was an elementary school teacher turned stay at home mom, and later a home school mom. Over the years, she designed cakes on the side and went to school to become a certified chocolatier. She always has loved to craft since she was young and it was something that she wanted to be doing, but set it aside due to her busy life. After 15 years of doing cakes she decided it was time to stop and focus more on her family. She began doing layouts, then cards and it went from there. Before she knew it, next to spending time with her family, she spent every free moment creating something and blogging about it. One thing led to another and here she is today!
