The holidays are almost here and now is the last time to get those holiday cards ready to mail.  Send these adorable holiday greetings around the world as this sleigh makes its own trip.  Create this card and send to it all of your friends and let the fun of the season begin.

Create a 5” x 7” card base or a size that you choose.  Cut a piece of patterned paper (A Perfect Winter by Echo Park shown) to measure 4 ¾” x 6” for the 5” x 7” card base. Assemble the card using a tape runner.

Use a circle die and die cut machine or circle cutter to cut a circle and then use a paper trimmer to cut it in half.  Center it in the middle of the card at the bottom and attach it with the tape.

Now stamp the images in black ink and use the matching dies from the Jingle All the Way set by Hero Arts. You can place them on different colors of cardstock as shown above or color in the entire image if stamped on white cardstock.  That’s up to you how you would like to do it.

Color the details of each image using your favorite colored pencils or markers.

To give some depth to the card, you can use a 3-d adhesive to attach the sleigh.  You can, also, attach the reindeer that way, too, or leave it flat on the card by attaching it with the tape runner.

Use the “bell” stamp in the Jingle All the Way set and turn it upside to stamp directly onto the patterned paper.  This piece will represent the reigns on the sleigh.

Color in the “bells” on the reign using some Stickles to give them the effect of being holiday lights instead of bells.  This will give the card a little shine.

Complete the card by stamping and die cutting the sentiment and add a special message to the inside.

Now is the time to get to making the cards that you need or those last minute ones.  Use this adorable sleigh card to send all of those holiday wishes this year.  Time is near and Santa will be here before you know it!

About Peg

Peg Rounds lives in East Moline, Illinois with her husband and best friend, Kevin and their son Josh and 2 dogs. She was an elementary school teacher turned stay at home mom, and later a home school mom. Over the years, she designed cakes on the side and went to school to become a certified chocolatier. She always has loved to craft since she was young and it was something that she wanted to be doing, but set it aside due to her busy life. After 15 years of doing cakes she decided it was time to stop and focus more on her family. She began doing layouts, then cards and it went from there. Before she knew it, next to spending time with her family, she spent every free moment creating something and blogging about it. One thing led to another and here she is today! Check out Peg's blog, Peg's Crafting Corner to see what else she has been up to!
