These pretty handmade owl gift boxes are perfect for giving away small gifts, such as jewellery, sweets and more!
You will need:
Cut a piece of paper that is the same height as the cardboard tube, and wide enough so that it can easily wrap around the tube. Then cover the paper in glue and wrap it around the tube, and wait until the glue has dried.
Once the glue is dry, create the gift box shape by pushing down the top and bottom parts of the cardboard tube. Start with the bottom, and push down the back half of the end of the tube, then fold down the front half to create a curved edge. Repeat this with the top of the tube, and the shape should resemble the owl’s ears.
Using different colored sheets of paper, cut out the shapes for the eyes, the beak and the wings, and glue them to the gift box, then stick two large googly eyes to the front. To open the gift box, simply unfold the top edges of the tube, then fold down again to close it.
