It’s not too late to show mom how much you love her with this very special card.  Tell her that May 14th or any day is her day with the fabulous In Bloom Collection by My Mind’s Eye.  The layers of cardstock behind the patterned paper make this line of paper even more amazing.

This card is started by creating a 5” x 7” card base using cardstock, your paper trimmer and scoring board.  This is a top fold card so the score line should be on the top of the card.

The first layer is cut from the patterned paper and should measure 1 ½” x 4 ¼”.  The next two layers are cut from cardstock and measure 1 ¾” x 4 ½” shown as the white layer in the picture and 2” x 4 ¾” shown as the pink layer.

Also, cut three more layered pieces that measure 3 5/8” x 4 5/8” (the white layer shown here), 3 7/8” x 4 7/8” (the pink layer) and 4” x 5” (the black layer).

Adhere the panels to the card base using a tape runner.  Then, adhere the pink and black layers, but do not add the white layer just yet.

Stamp your favorite image in black ink onto the white layer.  This is one of the Santoro Gorjuss stamps by DoCrafts.  Color the image using colored pencils, watercolor pencils or markers.

Finish the corners by adding your favorite embellishments and a sentiment to mom on the inside of the card.  The sticker sheet, brads or chipboard pieces from the In Bloom Collection are great for this step.  The stickers were used for this card.

Let mom know that you are thinking of her this Mother’s Day or any day of the year with this wonderful card featuring the In Bloom Line by My Mind’s Eye.  It’s a great way to give her love and beautiful flowers all in one.  Don’t forget your favorite stamped image to complete the love in this card, too.  Have fun creating this for any mom you know and show her some love any day of the year!

About Peg

Peg Rounds lives in East Moline, Illinois with her husband and best friend, Kevin and their son Josh and 2 dogs. She was an elementary school teacher turned stay at home mom, and later a home school mom. Over the years, she designed cakes on the side and went to school to become a certified chocolatier. She always has loved to craft since she was young and it was something that she wanted to be doing, but set it aside due to her busy life. After 15 years of doing cakes she decided it was time to stop and focus more on her family. She began doing layouts, then cards and it went from there. Before she knew it, next to spending time with her family, she spent every free moment creating something and blogging about it. One thing led to another and here she is today!
