My “in the house” supplies are organized but my “in the garage” supplies are a scary mess. I am doing early spring cleaning so that I can spend this spring “using or losing” whatever I may have out there.

Messy, messy, messy. I usually have to move a current project to the kitchen area, because my craft area is so cluttered. Tsk, tsk.

    organized chaos.
I agree with Ren-my inside stuff is fairly organized, but the garage stuff is a disaster.

I keep my craft supplies organized. They only look messy if I’m working on a project or if the grandchildren have been visiting……

It starts out neat. Then, as I’m creating, I start getting out paper, then embellishments, then I need paint – oh wait, where’d that fabric go…I know those chipboard pieces are somewhere…oh great – I just glue on my sleeve…

My craft supplies are a combination of messy and organized. I try my hardest by having containers for like items, but things don’t always end up back where they belong.

  7. Elaine Butler

My craft supplies are organized until I start a new project , then I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for!

  8. Carolyn Cavender

My supplies are always as organized as possible, which at times are not as much as I would like.

  9. Tiffani

My supplies start out organized, but in the midst of a project, chaos ensues and they end up everywhere.

My craft supplies are organized chaos, I try to organize but it grows faster than I get storage to organize properly. Everything is mostly put away but very much mixed randomly together, it’s great to inspire some random ideas for projects at times though as I see little bundles of supplies mixed together.

My craft supplies are organized chaos! I’m trying to get things together. For years I had bags with different projects that I carried with on different travels. Now I’m semi-retired and more stay-at-home, I’m trying to get the bags unloaded and organized. I do get side-tracked as I see a project that should be “quick” but blossoms into several projects!!

My crafting supplies are a little of both. It’s fairly organized, but could be even more organized. Thank you for the chance to win!

I have been trying to get my craft supplies organized but as others have shared once a project begins it becomes chaos.

I have my crafting supplies organized by category then either theme or color. Once I am finished using something it immediately goes back to it’s special spot so that I always know where to find it. By doing it this way I don’t have a big mess to clean up when I am done a project either!
If I don’t do this I tend to get a little bit jittery because I don’t deal well with chaos or messes. Have a great weekend!

Organized for the most part. I make a mess when I work, but try to get it all put away when I’m done.

I try my best to keep my supplies organized so that I can find things when I need them. It is hard since I have a small space to work with, but I have a system that works.

  17. Courtney

My area can be messy when I am working on a project, but I like to say it is mostly organized and clean!

organized somewhat….every craft item is in a huge bag or bin, but i have three HUGE boxes full of bags and bins

  19. Dawn

My work space is organized but my craft room where I store all my stuff is full to the brim and very unorganized. But under the clutter it is somewhat organized. It was very organized at one time but since I can’t really get in there its a massive mess. LOL

I’m with the others who claim “organized chaos.” I try from time to time to get organized, so a lot is boxed and labeled. But I’m always adding to the stash, and currently I’m far too busy to put it away properly. Fun to shop for more though!

  21. Marcia Maschke

It depends… If I’m not working on anything, they are completely owned, but then I start to work on a project and it looks like a cyclone blew through.

Most things are boxed and organized in my own way… It is an “organized mess” that works for me and I know where everything is. But I enjoy it 🙂

Mine is a little bit of both. More messy than organized. Hope to get it finished soon.

I have all my craft supplies in clear plastic boxes that are labelled. Once I get started on a project my desk is a real mess until I am finished and then it is back to sorting everything back to it’s place so I can find my supplies for my next project.

  25. Sukie

I have to have my crafty goodies completely organized or else I would never be able to find anything! I do make a huge mess while I create but then I make sure everything is re-organized and put back in it’s original place. Unfortunately, I have limited crafty time and I need to make the best use of my time so everything has to be organized 🙂

  26. Gaynor Mann

I have a little of both going on. Some supplies are really organized while others (usually what I’ve used most recently) are a mess!

  27. Renee Zimmerman

I am trying to get it all organized this year! When you start out with a cluttered sewing and craft room – buy organization you think u need – then buy more supplies to craft with – it never gets done. It gets very overwhelming – I have items in clearly defined areas now – new items are put away right away and I always clean up my desk after crafting – because I know when I go to start a new project I want room to craft and not just find a place to dump off my desk – makes the project fun to work on. I still have a few organizing projects to work on – die, stamp, bead, sticker and embroidery supplies. It is Great to find the items you need and enjoy your Hobby!

My craft and sewing room is my living room .so constantly organizing and trying to keep neat. But hard to be creative that way.
