Upcycle an old plastic bottle into an adorable pig planter!

A great farmyard animal craft idea for kids – learn how to make a pig planter out of an old plastic bottle!

Pig Planter materials


Pig Planter Step 1

Step 1:

Cut around the bottle about 6 inches up from the bottom. Remember to leave two triangles for the pig’s ears!

Pig Planter Step 2

Step 2:

Mix up a shade of pink that you want your pig to be, then paint the whole of the bottle and let it dry.

Pig Planter Step 3

Step 3:

Cut out the shape of the nose and the inside of the ears out of the pink felt, and the shapes for the nostrils out of the black felt. Then stick the nostrils onto the pink nose shape.

Pig Planter Step 4

Step 4:

Stick the felt shapes you made in step 3 on to the plastic bottle and colour the feet in with a pink pen and it’s ready to put a plant in!
