Now that the holidays are over, the magic of winter is gone for me. I never know what to do with myself come January as I just wait for the sun to come back and for flowers and birds. You could call me a winter grinch. So, I’m skipping right ahead to spring this week, maybe we can fake it until the winter is over.

Fanciful Fabric Butterflies

These colorful butterflies are a great way to add some spring cheer to a dreary winter home. They can brighten up your winter outfits as a hair accessory or brooch, or can help you work away some of the time you’re stuck inside.

Kids can help brighten up your home too with a fun cherry blossom craft. Not only can they create these cute blossoms, but they can also use some recycled materials.

How gorgeous is this little felt robin? This guy is a great addition to a centerpiece or a wreath. I can’t wait to see the little birds again.

Hanging Paper Wisteria - Catching Colorflies

Create a pretty hanging wisteria installation to add some spring color to your home. These would be super fun for a wedding, but sometimes you just need a little something extra for your home too.

DIY Flower Head Vase - The House That Lars Built

Create paper flowers that will last all winter long and display them in a statement making face vase. I love the personality that this vase would bring to any space and it definitely draws the eye right to it.

How will you pretend it’s spring this winter? Check out our Craft Trends Pin Board for even more ways to be in denial about the weather.
