I start decorating on Thanksgiving. The christmas tree is decorated as soon as the children and grandkids arrive.
I start decorating around Thanksgiving, also. My dad’s family (150+ people) get together for Christmas over the Thanksgiving weekend, so that is truly the start of the Christmas season for us.
I used to get started by the first of November.
These days I’m lucky to have the tree up the week before Christmas!
I begin getting the decorations out the day after Thanksgiving.
I usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving. That can vary depending upon the other events/activities that are happening in my life at that time.
We have simple and reflective Advent decorations throughout December, including a Nativity scene that we add to one piece a day. Then we fully decorate the house one or two days before Christmas so that it is all magical on Christmas Eve night and all celebratory for Christmas Day and the next 12 days, a wonderful contrast to the previous weeks!
I’m a last-minute kinda gal! I usually don’t get it started til mid-December! This year I am retired, and before it always depended on my work schedule.
The day after Thanksgiving. As a kid, we put the tree and decorations up Christmas Eve and took them down New Years Day. With a big family, we needed the room taken up by the tree.
Weather depending – we put our lights up and start the weekend after Thanksgiving. My mom comes to visit for Thanksgiving so my kids love that she’s around to help decorate with them!
I love decorating for Christmas, but I won’t start sooner than December 1. I love to make new decorations and special ornaments to highlight on the year, most of all though I go into crazy bake mode, and I make marshmallows and other treats to not only enjoy myself but to give as gifts. My husband and I like to put little treat boxes together for those we know, even if not well, so those we see often know they are thought of and we can spread some cheer.
I start decorating for Halloween around the first of October. When I put that away I decorate for Thanksgiving. We usually put the tree up Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks for the chance to win!
the day after thanksgiving will always be to me the official start of the holiday season. And that is when I will start decorating. Plus I love fall so I leave those decorations up as long as I can.
Planning starts in September. Decoration construction takes place October through November, then everything gets put up December 1st. Fall decorations come down after Thanksgiving, so there are a few days without visual stimulation.
We start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving! Each day we add a little bit more and by Christmas Eve we have quite the display of decorations all around the house!
somewhere between the day after Thanksgiving and the 1st of Dec, try to have all decorating done by then
The day after Thanksgiving.
I start decorating after thanksgiving dinner ! I love it!
I start picking up new things after Halloween and put everything up just before Thanksgiving. I love Christmas decorations!
Our family puts up all our decorations, including the tree, the day after Thanksgiving
I start decorating for the holidays about a month before the holidays.
I decorate the Saturday after Thanksgiving, this way I get into the holiday spirit and it lasts through New Years Day.
I start decorating in September for fall and Halloween. About a week before Thanksgiving I like to have my tree up, and the rest of the Christmas decorations the day after turkey day.
We almost always decorate Thanksgiving weekend, otherwise we run out time and it doesn’t get done. Life between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a crazy busy rush for our family.
I start decorating the week of Thanksgiving. If I wait any longer, I get too busy to decorate!
I like to start decorating after veterans day because we have to respect our veterans and give them there time because they gave there time for us and it also gives me a little extra time for craft. But i dooo looove Christmas 🙂
Any time I get a chance . I don’t have a set time I decorate.
We start decorating on Thanksgiving weekend. The outside lights definitely go up on Friday (day after Thanksgiving)
I usually plan for the weekend after Thanksgiving to put the tree up. Sometimes it gets done on time! I decorate for most of the month of December, but then many times leave it up throughout January just so I can enjoy ALL of it together.
I start the day after Halloween! Love sitting by the Christmas tree!
The weekend after Thanksgiving. I’m old school!
Thanksgiving weekend as I have a long 4 day weekend??
I decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving and take it all down usually the day after Christmas. Once the excitement is over, I just want the mess cleaned up and put away so that I can enjoy the New Year’s festivities without having to face the Christmas mess afterward.
Planning starts right after Halloween but decoratons don’t get put out until the weekend after Thanksgiving.
We try to switch things up so it looks fresh from year to year.
The day after Thanksgiving. It was that way as I was growing up and I just continued it.
