Celebrate another great year with a DIY Happy Birthday banner! Ideal for kids of all ages.
- Assorted scrapbook papers
- Letter stencils
- Craft glue
- Craft scissors
- Hole punch
- Clear tape
- Ribbon and/or jute twine
Assemble a variety of colored or patterned scrapbook papers. Using letter stencils (or print and cut out your own), trace the letters H-A-P-P-Y B-D-A-Y on the assorted scrapbook papers.
With the letters assembled, use a hole punch to create holes in the top of each letter.
Create iconic birthday symbols including balloons, birthday cake, gift box. (Draw freehand or locate royalty free graphics online.)
With the shapes cut out, use craft glue to assemble. Use a hole punch to create a hole at each end of the symbol.
Thread the ribbon through the birthday symbol and items, assembling in an order you like best.
Add some jute twine to the birthday balloon and gift box symbols. Secure with clear tape.
Hang on a mantel or as part of a birthday backdrop. Enjoy the special day!
