Easy knitting pattern for your own throw pillow

Want a relaxing, no stress knitting project? Then try my easy pillow pattern!

Difficulty Level

Decide how large you’d like your pillow to be. Cast on enough stitches to attain desired width. Knit in stockinette until you have a square. Cast off. See-nice and simple!

Cut out two squares of desired fabric that are the same size as your knit square.

Sew one piece to the knit square to line it.

Sew this piece to the other fabric square on three sides. Make sure the knit side of the pillow is facing the outer side of the back fabric. On the fourth side leave a gap several inches wide.

Turn right side out and fill with stuffing.

Hand sew opening closed.

Place your new pillow on your couch, kick up your feet and take a well deserved break because your pillow is done!

About Stephanie

Hello everyone. I’m Stephanie and I’m so happy to be the Yarn and Needlework contributor for Think Crafts. A friend taught me to crochet back in 2000 and I’ve been hooked on textile crafts every since. Knitting soon followed, then spinning, needle felting and sewing joined the team. I love making my own clothes and home accessories. Creating fun monsters out of sparkly yarn is my current obsession. I blog about my crafty creations at Twilly 23.
