I am often accused of not allowing enough color into my life. As a generally rule, I can usually be found in black, grey, or white and I’ll be the first to admit that I tend to stray away from colors when trying to decorate. One of the reasons I tend to stick to my blacks and greys is my fear of clashing colors. There’s one new trend that seems to alleviate some of this problem. The new trend of ombre colors is the perfect way to satisfy my color fearing palate and these DIYs are a great way to add some tasteful color in your life.
Watercolor Treat Bags – Think Crafts
These cute little bags are perfect for gift bags or as an organizing techniques for the little knick-nacks lying around. These would be a great place to put an air freshener or any other item you might not want lying around.
Ombre Dyed Yarn – How Did You Make This?
I love the idea of creating a hat or a pair of socks with this yarn. It creates many projects ideas for both knitting and crochet. I like the idea of being able to create a color that works better for you and the purposes of whatever project you may be working on.

This mirror is both fantastic and would be cheap to make. The outside is made with plastic spoons and due to the layered effect, it would be easy to ombre with one color pallet.

These little pots will add color to a room without being over powering. I love that the ombre isn’t perfect here which allows you to play with the colors and techniques used to dye these planters.
DIY Ombre Journals – damask love
As the back to school season approaches, these journals are the perfect way to add your own personal touch and color to the notebooks you are using. With only three steps, these journals looks easy to make and could also be made to be great book covers for bulky textbooks.
