What I look forward to the most during the holidays is getting creative and crafty around my home with Christmas decorating! It is after all, the most beautiful time of the year!

I love to see how the house is transformed with bright colors and lights and the aroma of gingerbread in the oven. It turns something drab and plain into something magical.

The holiday season means more fun times with the grandkids! Love the decorating and shopping and anticipation of them opening their gifts.

crafting with my daughter! The holidays are all about the spirit of the season in our house and we always give each other hand made gifts. By doing this, she has learned to sew, to crochet, to knit, to do decoupage, to make cards, and to bake! Hopefully one day she will teach her children about the joys of crafting!

The Christmas Eve service, and spending time with my son. We always make shaped cookies, even though he’s all grown up now. It would be fun to try some new shapes.

Watching my Grandchildren & children opening their gifts, especially the handmade ones from me. This Christmas will be the first without my Mother and way too many without my oldest son – so I’ve learned to appreciate my loved ones while I still have them…..

I live in South Carolina and I always look forward to the Festival of Lights at James Island County Park. It’s been a family tradition to go and we have gone every year since its opening. It’s the one thing all of the adult children will not miss!

I’m very excited to visit with my long lost family. I was adopted at age 16 months and just recently was able to reconnect with one of my niece’s.
