The lace of the doily along with the shells and drift wood will hopefully produce good dreams of the summer ahead. This project would be great for after your vacation, picking up items from the beach to make the craft. This could also be a gift for a friend with a beach house.
Supplies
- Large Wooden Embroidery Hoop
- Lace Doilie
- Hot Glue
- Shells, drift wood
- String
First, stretch the doily across the embroidery hoop. Tighten the screw of the hoop and pull the doily taught.
Once the hoop has been tightened, trim the excess of the doily off the back and use hot glue to secure the cut ends to the hoop. Next string shells on a thin fishing line or bead wire and tie it to the bottom of the hoop.
Use string to tie the pieces of drift wood to the bottom as well. Then hang the dream catcher and get a good night’s sleep.

This is a really cute idea and i have doilies picked up at flea markets etc I have wondered what to do with. I imagine beads or anything that matches someones interests could be hung from the hopp
Thanks so much. This is wonderful !
