Felt Flower Pin

Pretty flowers are in bloom everywhere, now you can add them to your wardrobe! It’s easy to make these soft felt flowers and by adding a pin back they can be worn with any outfit. This is a perfect craft for summer camps!  I thought adding a pin back made this flower a cute gift for my grandmother, but they could also be placed on hair clips or headbands, maybe even a bracelet.

Materials

Supplies

Line of Glue

Start by placing a line of glue along on edge of the felt. Next fold the piece in half long wise and press the glue. Place a heavy book on that edge and let the glue dry.

Fringe

When the glue is dry, use scissors to cut ½” cuts on the folded edge about ½” apart, the whole length of the piece.

Once the cuts are made, hold one end of the felt and start rolling the felt into a flower. Use glue (or hot glue) to hold the flower together.
