Create a dimensional work of art with hot glue. Tutorial at ThinkCrafts.com

We just saw some great works of art this weekend and my daughter and I wanted to try some different techniques. This is a monochromatic painting with a 3-D texture. It creates a great looking work of art and is very easy to do.

Supplies

Glue Gun Painting

Start by drawing a simple design on the canvas with a pencil.

Trace Design with Hot Glue

Next using the hot glue gun, trace the design with a bead of glue. Let the design cool.

Paint Canvas one Color

Next paint the entire canvas with one color, covering the glue and canvas.

Sprinkle Glitter

Before the paint dries sprinkle on some glitter to give the painting a little more dimension. When the light hits the glitter it adds to the 3-D effect.

Let the paint dry, then hang the painting up!
