An easy way to create a beautiful plaque for your house. Tutorial at ThinkCrafts.com

I have lived in my house for quite some time now and I dislike the address numbers that have been on the house, probably since it was built. I have always wanted a custom number plaque but never could justify buying one. Recently, I found these beautiful wood cuttings, I like the bark on it. I surprised myself with how simple this was to make, I should have done it sooner!

Materials

Supplies:

I used my Cricut Personal Cutter to cut 4″ tall numbers out of a sheet of vinyl, but CreateForLess has pre-cut vinyl numbers to use.

Find Center

Next, measure the plaque and mark the center.

Line Up Number

Line the vinyl number up to center it and apply the vinyl numbers to the wood.

Mod Podge Layer

Next, brush on a layer Mod Podge. This will seal the wood from the weather. Let it dry, then hang using the screws.

See the before and after, a simple project can make the entrance so much prettier ( ok, the paint helped too, but the address sign is so nice)!
