It’s not a secret that crafters love to recycle. There is some thrill in repurposing something that would be thrown away by a non-crafter. Today is Earth Day, the perfect time to celebrate that spirit of salvaging and creating something out of nothing. Let’s take a look back at some of my favorite recycled crafts…
This whimsical craft is made from an empty milk jug. It’s the perfect craft to get started teaching children about recycling and repurposing.
In addition to teaching recycling, these tin can pots are perfect for getting your Earth Day seedlings started. Recycle old materials and grow some plants to celebrate!

These old junk mail envelopes have been repurposed into “happy mail”! Show off your personality and resourcefulness by sending out your mail in fun recycled envelopes.
Don’t throw away a puzzle that’s missing a few pieces or that the kids have outgrown. Flip it over and you have a uniquely shaped canvas for wall art!
Toilet paper rolls have so much crafting potential. These little pen holders would look great on a school desk or next to a phone.
It seems that all crafters attract way more buttons than they know what to do with. Repurpose some of them into these fun funky bracelets!
